Job Description

Electrician Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment onboard
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults in engine room and accommodation systems
  • Maintain generators, switchboards, lighting systems, and alarm systems
  • Ensure electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Support engine department operations when required
  • Maintain records of electrical maintenance activities
  • Follow company safety procedures and international maritime regulations

Electrician Requirements

  • Valid seaman certificates according to rank
  • Experience working onboard RORO vessels is preferred
  • Good understanding of marine electrical systems
  • Familiar with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Physically and mentally fit for sea duty

2nd Engineer Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations
  • Supervise engine room crew during maintenance and operational activities
  • Monitor main engine and auxiliary machinery performance
  • Ensure planned maintenance systems are properly implemented
  • Maintain engine room safety and cleanliness
  • Prepare engine room reports and maintenance documentation
  • Handle bunkering operations under supervision

2nd Engineer Requirements

  • Valid Certificate of Competency for 2nd Engineer position
  • Previous sailing experience in similar rank
  • Experience onboard RORO vessels is an advantage
