Job Description (Wiper Offshore Vessel)
- Assist Engine Officers and Oilers in daily engine room duties
- Maintain cleanliness of the engine room, machinery spaces, and equipment
- Help in basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and lubrication
- Support routine inspection of engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
- Carry tools, spare parts, and materials as required by the engineering team
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Assist during emergency drills and actual emergency situations
- Dispose of waste materials properly in accordance with environmental regulations
- Report any unusual conditions or equipment issues to the supervising engineer
Requirements
- Valid and completed certificate document
- At least 6–12 months experience onboard vessel or as engine crew trainee (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of engine room operations is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in engine room environment
- Willing to work in offshore vessel conditions with long working hours
- Strong discipline and ability to follow instructions from senior engineers
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willing to learn and adapt to vessel operations
